About the APPSBG

Policy Cycle

There are usually three lead sponsors that support the year’s headline policy cycles. Organisations may wish to come together to sponsor a project jointly.

Each policy cycle concludes with a final report that is launched at a press conference in the House of Commons.

To compile the report, the SBRT consults with smaller businesses and other interested parties, briefs the APPSBG’s members, questions a panel of owner-managers, undertakes a web-based survey and holds at least one public hearing – usually at Westminster.

Sponsors of a policy cycle have the opportunity to:
    • Brand the briefing papers, web-based material, research documents and the final report
    • Participate in and brand the press conference to launch the final report
    • Take part in joint PR activity
    • Distribute the final report to stakeholders
    • Brand the public hearings
    • Bring guests to participate in a debriefing at the House of Commons, attended by parliamentary officers and business organisations.
